with limited and space restriction you dont need RR, provided you have enough space outside your entrance room if side entry and with open top you have the whole luxury of the open sky to act as the RR, with minimal house design to the bird the RR is also the nesting plank, these birds are not human where we like, to have lounge, sitting area, kitchen, bedroom and toilet separately, they are do in in single place,sex and shit at the same place maybe same time lmfao. , ... in countries where poverty is an issue ..they too do the same... i might be wrong!!!
sometimes I wonder the existence of RR is just to block light. if you can control the light factor, you can just do away with RR. anyway it's just a hypothesis and opinion.
