A new toy has arrived

Guess what? My data logger has arrived!

This is a neat gadget that logs both temperature and relative humidity over days, months or even a year depending on the sample rate set.

It is simple to install and operate. With an USB port and driver software, temperature & humidity profile can be plotted on PC. This is one the gadget I really need.

Can't wait to check it out of course. A sample test plot shown below. It showed the dew point too.

I have an additional tool to check against accuracy & correlation of humidity readings among my hygrostats.

Updated 17th Nov... Of course I can't wait to compare the accuracies of RH readings with my other instrument. The good news is the average difference between this data logger and my hand held meter is 2% over the 4hrs test duration. I am finally comfortable that my hygrostats control range can be set fairly accurately.

A visit to Eka Walet in Jakarta

Having learned Eka Walet (a leading consultant in Indonesia) has an outlet in Jakarta, a visit there is timely as my bird farm construction has begun.

I was attended by Dewi, pretty daughter-in-law of Dr. Nugroho. Just missed his son, Henry, by a couple of hours who had left for the airport. She is very friendly & helpful with information.

Got a number of these 'plastic nests' to encourage new birds to nest.

It's lined with a layer of linen that is removed with the nest during harvest.

Motorola tweeter vs cheap tweeters? I'll conduct my tests to see what difference it make!

Got some fountain noozles for my farm too.

Will try out the effectiveness of their PW concentrates in my farm.

Well, Magic Powder.. to breed insects too!

Enough to keep me busy with these new acqusitions.
